5 out of 5 stars Beautiful!   March 9, 2007

This is a great book for everyone who is thinking about owning a Dobie, or is already an owner. It is written beautifully, and is very informative. It's the best Doberman book on the market at this time. BUY IT!

Nicely presented. I didn't appreciate the European/German dogs being slated so openly. This is a German dog after all. Even the fact that the Americans can't give the breed the correct spelling 'Dobermann' just shows how arrogant they are. The fact that the Americans have watered down the temperament is so sad. I have a bitch of Italian/Yugoslavian bloodlines and I personally don't know how you could want to possible tone her down. So... I would rather not have bought it. Soured the whole thing for me.

Having never owned a doberman before and recently rescueing a three year old, this book was enormously helpful. What a wonderful breed of dog!

It's a good book, great info but let down by the black and white pictures.

Wonder for refrence for anyone who owns a Dobe or is thinking about getting one. A great book written by people who have been in the breed for years and really know there stuff.
